IDB Project Outcomes

Inter-American Development Bank Project Goals:
As Burkenroad Latin America enters its third year of support from the IDB, many of the goals outlined in the initiation of the program have been achieved. IDB Project Goals include the training of the participating institutions’ professors on financial research and investment issues related to the "Burkenroad Reports" preparation, the development of courses to be offered by the trained professors to students and other practitioners, and the preparation and dissemination of the Burkenroad Latin America Reports.

Faculty Trained:

So far, IDB-sponsored Faculty Training Sessions have trained 20 Latin American professors in how to teach investment research and to implement the Burkenroad Latin America program.

 


Faculty training goals are 63% completed for the program overall with approximately 66% of the initial stage of the project time having elapsed.

Student Participation:

After two years 525 Latin American students (out of a 3-year goal of 720) have participated in the Burkenroad Latin America program.


Goals for training students have been exceeded overall with 72.9% of the target met after 66% of the initial stage of the program completed.

Company Reports:

To date, ninety-seven Burkenroad Latin America Reports have been completed by students in Colombia, Mexico, and Venezuela.


40.42% of the goals for financial report preparation have been met with approximately 66% of the initial stage of the project time elapsed.
